Funky eclectic piece. Not exactly vurtsy but it groovy nonetheless
Very professional sounding track, great guitars and synth sounds and very well arranged
Very Zappa-esque to start with, then off somewhere totally different. Great stuff.
A bright and energetic funky track although it did feel slightly like a group of separate parts attached together at times.
Bravo stars crossing the horizon now I see them
Santana opens switching to some nice bluesy guitar. I hate music with samples of people talking thrown in for no appearant reason, so the next section really ruins it for me. The Jazzy/Funky Chick Corea section is great too, but this song suffers from a big identity crisis. Almost like 4-5 seperate song ideas thrown together to fill out the 2 minutes.
Yay! Porn music! I'm naked as I'm writing this: yet another "yet another "yet another "yet another "yet another "yet another favourite"""""!!! Pure genius. Love those screams at the begining and the section at 0:53.
Like it, as GuitarJeff said it's like having several pieces in one, have absolutely no prob with that. JazzRock meets James Brown meets Blues meets modern samples work meets funky chick korea (?)

Frank Zappa. It's a little disjointed, but I usually like that. I think I'd like it better without the cartoony vocal clips. They distract more than they help, imo. Except the last one, of course. The kid saying "goodbye sober day" cracks me up.
And that was it for today, now my wife has a large agenda for me (for #@$%&*´s sake) ! More music from Max... .. .I did it again and it was a lot of fun ! Every month I will put at least one song of mine on internet. So you can grab it freely and enjoy it. If you want to do something else with it, you´ll have to ask me first. Then I´ll send you the manual, without whom it is very dangerous to work ! Someone in New Orleans tried that and look what happened... .. .

I´m also loading up 2 foto´s of 2 of the amplifiers that one of my best friends has made for me. His amps are "piece unique" and the very best quality I´ve ever seen, heard and had ! You can see on my face the effects they have on the musician who´s playing them... .. .
Max el Belga August 23 De grote openbaringen, ... .. .Internet staat voor vrije uitwisseling van "gedachtengoed" m.i. Dit is fantastisch ! Nu kunnen we echt beginnen te draaien !
Freeware ! ´k Gebruik het op alle momenten : muziek, grafiek, enz... Dit werkt natuurlijk in 2 richtingen, zodoende zijn ook de dingen die ik ermee maak Free ! M´n muziek, samples, grafische en literaire uitspattingen zijn al (in bescheiden mate) beschikbaar om te downloaden en nu ga ik nog verder... 1 van de grootste gastronomische geheimen van vorige en deze eeuw ga ik zo dadelijk ontluisteren : de magistrale samenstelling van Max´s BarBQ-Marinade... Eerst en vooral het belangrijkste : de vleeskeuze. Geen "fijndoenerij" hier ! Geen ossehaasje, geen pattati of pattata ! Wel vlees dan helemaal doorspekt is met "vet adertjes". Wat we het beste kunnen gebruiken is de vleeshomp in de nek van het varken. Het is de verlenging van wat begint als kottelet en overgaat in carbonade. Gewoonlijk zijn dat brokken van ca. 2,5 kg. Probeer daar nu niet een lapje van te bakken in de pan, want dat wordt een slijmerig boeltje, wegens te veel vet in het vlees ! Maar dat is juist z´n sterkte op de gril ! Beetje bij beetje verandert dat vlees, sudderend in z´n eigen vet tot er nog een mager, sappig mals (krispy van buiten) lapje overblijft. Het wordt pas helemaal leuk als we aan de kassa komen. Dat vlees is spotgoedkoop !
De marinade dient om smaak te geven aan het vlees en het verschroeïngsproces op de gril te temperen. Samenstelling :
3/4 liter water
5 soeplepels (=sl.) olijfolie 3 sl. met teut (berg) shuarma/pita/kish kebab kruiden 1 afgestreken (=afgestr.) sl. zachte curry 1 bol look 1 sl. met teut oregano snuifje tijm 2,5 bouillonblokje 1 sl. zoete soyasaus 1 afgestr. koffielepel (=kl.) kurkuma 1 afgestr. kl. muskaatnoot 3 tot 5 afgestr. sl. suiker 1 sl. ketchup 1 sl. mosterd Alles goed fijnmixen, de gesneden lapjes vlees d´r in stapelen, afdekken, de ijskast in voor 24 uur en klaar is Max !
PS : Al die bullshit over Freeware is maar blabla; Max was het gewoon strontzat om telkens weer aan iedere newkomkommer op z´n geroemde BarBQ´s, de samenstelling van de fenomenale mix te moeten uitleggen... .. . August 19 Reviews on my song "Rush ´69".First of all I must admit I´m very satisfied and proud of the critiques on my song, until now. So two conclusions can be made : 1. The public is bloody right and has a fucking-good taste !
or : 2. I didn´t know they were that stupid !

Rush '69 - Max el Belga - Opinions... .. .
Yeah, the guitar does sound a bit like Alex (of Rush) at first in his earlier days. Lots of different stuff going on - the least likeable of which is the General MIDI sounding sax. Cool guitar harmonies at the begining. Wow, lots of guitar. Very 60's blues rockesque. This is mixed well IMO. Especially considering the amount of different elements that keep coming in and out. The latin percusion is a nice touch. Overall, an interesting meld of classic sounding guitar and modern electronic textures. The ending is awesome too. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed.
Listening to it now. Love the sound of the guitar. Nice changes. Pretty progressive for '69. Oh forget all that...I liked it a lot.

Wives come and go.... while musical inspiration needs attending to RIGHT NOW!! Your sound is very good! This is muy cool. There are a lot of changes for my taste but I think you pull it off well.
echoes of times past where crimson-oid sax lines vie with sound-bite sample snippetts in mutant blue. those WERE the days!
Wow - really coppin a good Allman Bros groove there and then the band got stoned? Great track and excellent mix, great drums, cool laid-back sax, spot-on gueetar, righteous vocals and el superbo bass! Can't wait to hear some more from you mate (and Little Dude)!

 Stop, over naar andere taal : Marc Legendre (striptekenaar van Biebel en geestelijke vader van Max el Belga) doet een leuke bijdrage in de vorm van een Max el Belga stripje, te zien tussen de foto´s van Max.
 Oorsprong van Max el Belga : Er wordt gezegd dat Marc Legendre, op 1 van z´n vele zoektochten naar inspiratie, in een ruimte-expeditie was gesukkeld (hij is, volgens z´n vrouw, al wel eens "verstrooid"). Volgens dezelfde bron zou hij toen Max hebben ontmoet op de planeet Belga (vandaar zijn naam). 1 ding is in ieder geval zeker : Marc Legendre is in de ruimte geweest, zie bijgevoegde foto´s in de album op deze site !
 Comodin de otro indioma, okay, aqui tambien se habla cristiano ! Para terminar el gran esfuerso que he tenido que hacer hoy, voy a subir, no solamente foto´s del padre espiritual de Max el Belga (en el espacio !) y un comic de su mano sobre Max, pero tambien 4 foto´s nuevos de Max. Que lo disfruten ! Viva mi Aldea !
